Rusty Prater

At a gas station one bitterly cold night Rusty found himself wondering why he was suffering through yet another Midwest winter. We’re not sure if you’ve ever felt a wind that cuts you to the bone, but trust us, it’s not pleasant. So two weeks later he crammed everything he owned into his car, headed over the mountains, and began his new life at the beach. The folks at Colonial offered him a job and, as they say, the rest is history.

If you have a billing question, Rusty Prater is your man. With today’s modern technology and an industrial supply of Diet Coke, he keeps all of the Colonial accounts running smoothly. Having a knack for numbers and a penchant for organization doesn’t hurt either. Rusty graduated from the University of Toledo and spent a few years around the Glass City getting involved in a wide variety of marketing endeavors big and small. His personal favorite was helping organize and volunteer for the American Cancer Society Making Strides walk.

Rusty likes to think of himself as of a man about town, in that you can usually see him grinding out miles in his neon Asics amongst the city’s trails and sidewalks. Running in half-marathons in Wilmington, Washington DC, & New Orleans, he has burned through many pairs of shoes and carbo-loading dinners.

Rusty and his wife Jen have settled into their new house and are looking forward to building a home the next few years with their cat, Pixel, and the flock of birds that frequent the backyard feeders.
